The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Manager leads a group of quality assurance analysts who evaluate, test and validate software and/or IT services. The IT QA Manager is responsible for defining and implementing IT Quality Assurance strategy, practices and procedures. Through these processes, the IT QA Manager analyzes deficiencies in service or performance and recommends software, product or service improvements to address identified problems. In this role, the IT QA Manager designs and implements defect reduction programs and works closely with other IT leaders and project managers to integrate those programs within the portfolio of IT projects and services. In addition to guiding and monitoring the daily activities of the QA team, the IT QA Manager is responsible for the complete portfolio of QA processes and tools, with a long-term goal of continual improvement and best in class performance.

Qualifications Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in field or equivalent experience required
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in Quality Assurance or related field required
  • Prior experience as manager/leader of Quality Assurance team or function preferred
  • Prior experience leading, directing and supervising the work of others required
  • Strong overall understanding of IT infrastructure, application development and overall production system integrations preferred
  • Prior experience working in a professional service firm environment highly preferred
  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
  • Certification in Change/Release Management frameworks such as ITIL v3, TQM or ISO 9000:2000 preferred
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) preferred
  • Experience performing Quality Assurance testing with software such as Mercury, Interactive, Quick Test Pro, WinRunner, Load Runner, Test Director and/or Quality Center preferred
  • Experience using software such as ServiceNow, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, MS Office 365, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Enterprise Services Automation, PeopleSoft HRMS, Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and/or Microsoft SharePoint preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite highly preferred

  • Ability to understand complex automated system requirements and translate them into appropriate test cases and plans
  • Excellent written communication skills, maintaining accurate documentation and technical authorship of complex documents
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues and topics into layman terms for diverse audiences

  • Capability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees and management
  • Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
