Qualifications:
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient chart or history and correlates with physician orders. Consultation is obtained as necessary.
- Knowledgeable in computer operations and accurate record keeping. Ensures that patient information charges are accurate.
- Collaborate with the technologist to determine when they can accommodate the patients in the department.
- Always explains the reason for transport to the patient using terms they will understand.
- Perform transportation/escorting/delivery assignments promptly, as dispatched by VIP Transport Tracking System.
- Responsible for reporting to CODE BLUE AND Rapid Response
- Is alert to any obvious change in the general appearance or condition of the patient being transported and immediately reports such changes to the nearest nursing unit or ancillary department.
