JOB DESCRIPTION
CAMPUS COORDINATOR
Purpose:
To support, mentor and broker services, including case management activities within the school setting for at-risk students. Campus Coordinators will work closely with campus administrators and faculty, students and their families, community service organizations,
CIS central and state office personnel.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and functions may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
1. Implementation of CIS program components in assigned district (ECISD or MISD) and on assigned campus.
2. Plan, organize and implement program activities and objectives (must include all components and services required by TEA issued CIR manual).
3. Provide mentoring, coaching, motivation, encouragement and reinforcement to young people and parents, individually and collectively.
4. Facilitate various groups with students, families, faculty and/or community members. Facilitate develop and/or conduct workshops as deemed necessary for students, families and campus staff.
5. Collaborate with school personnel and community groups to integrate social, educational and vocational services.
6. Address the needs of student participants at the designated campus.
7. Implement recreational and extra-curricular activities to enhance self-esteem and reinforce developmental skills.
8. Involve volunteers in their areas of interest and expertise.
9. Encourage parental involvement in school activities.
10. Work with parents, students and staff in CIS fund-raising activities providing financial reports concluding each activity.
11. Compile and submit reports on CIS activities.
12. Documentation in case management files must be complete, accurate, and submitted to Data Specialist within the deadlines set by CISPB central office.
Case files returned for corrections must be returned by the following pick-up date with all corrections completed.

14. Required number of case managed students to be met no later than January
15th of each school year.
15. If assistance is needed with required paperwork; notification should be made to the Program Coordinator and/or Data Specialist immediately.
16. CISTMS service log entry to be completed by set deadlines and in compliance with TEA standards.
Responsibilities - Supervision and/or Leadership Exercised:
Must be an independent, self-starter with the ability to lead and motivate youth. Must also be able to work with and on behalf of ethnically diverse, at-risk students and their families.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be comfortable working with diverse populations and interfacing with various levels of the academic community. Applicant must have the following knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other CIS employees, campus staff, students, families, and community partners.
- Possess knowledge of Permian Basin community resources.
- Ability to work with young adults from 7th through 12th grades.
- Ability to prioritize workload to ensure work is complete and deadlines are met.
- Possess computer skills necessary to implement the program and maintain records related to case management and services.
- Possess health and stamina necessary to actively serve needs of clients with some lifting required (as much as 25 pounds).
- Exhibit excellent work attitude, strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Possess above average skill in oral and written communication. Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, tact and diplomacy in all dealings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education or a related field. A minimum of three (3) years experience in a social work setting is preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Licenses and/or Certification Required:
Class C, Texas Driver's License. Must provide proof of compliance with the minimum state insurance requirement.
