Raytheon Technologies RMD has an exciting opportunity working with a wide breadth of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and cutting edge technologies including our Laureate winner for innovative technology incorporating gallium nitride (GaN) into military radars. This Equipment Engineer position is a 1st shift role, providing support from both a tactical and strategic perspective based on sound engineering and maintenance principles, as they relate to SPC, predictive maintenance, scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of wafer fabrication equipment. If you are a self-motivated technical professional capable of working independently as well as being capable of interfacing with vendors, working to assigned budgets and understanding how your equipment impacts the overall manufacturing process then this is the position for you. In addition to maintaining your assigned equipment, you will be required to implement predictive performance controls, SPC and document preventive maintenance procedures for semi-conductor equipment.
As the Thin Singulate Equipment Engineering Lead the qualified candidate must have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of semiconductor processing equipment within the Thin Singulate Work Center. bonding tools, plating baths, scribe and break tools, wet chemistry solvent and acid spray tools, and grinders. This includes experience with vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, RF/ microwave, chemical systems typically found in a semiconductor operation.
This person will actively participate in continuous improvement activity, specifically with SPC controls of critical inputs to the manufacturing process and will work to improve up time performance on assigned systems. This candidate will be required to ensure equipment availability by implementing corrective actions for hardware and software related equipment issues. This job also requires support of emergency response team (ERT).
This position can be a G08 or a G09 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibilities required for the position
Minimum of 4 years prior experience and experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment
Must be able to perform related hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment
Must have a fundamental understanding of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on new equipment installations
Proficient use of MS Office products
Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards
Related experience as a hand-on Equipment Maintenance Technician/ Engineer maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment
B.S. Degree in Science or Engineering.
