Responsibilities:
The Supplier Assurance Manager shall:

Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of global Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure tasks are coordinated and prioritized with the Genie global business strategy.

Provide a vision and growth plan for the department in alignment with other business leaders and the roadmap of current and future projects.

Support the implementation of a company-wide Quality Management System over the next 3-5 years: specifically, for supplier quality related tools and processes (non-conformance management, supplier scorecards, supplier assessments, production part approval process).

Generate useful and strategic supplier quality metrics for each level of the organization on an annual/quarterly/monthly basis.

Identify and/or create best practices and standardize supplier quality processes around the globe.

Develop the supply chain: create and execute custom-tailored quality improvement plans for selected suppliers based on performance data and/or the maturity of their quality management system.

Accurately assess the capabilities of newly awarded or prospective suppliers to ensure compliance to Terex drawings and specifications will be met reliably in production.

Ensure major customer quality issues and service bulletins are resolved in a timely manner, with effective countermeasures in place to prevent recurrence.

Mentor new team members around the globe on the Supply Assurance processes and tools.

Travel up to 30% (domestic and international) to perform supplier development, supplier site assessments, level 5 PPAPs, and problem-solving workshops.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
-
10+ years of proven industry experience as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, or similar role. Must have 5+ years of experience working with vendors/suppliers.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Demonstrated team player and effective collaborator.
-
Experience with ISO9001, TS16949, or similar quality management systems and auditing practices.

Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and related tools such as: DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, PPAP.

Experience performing quality system audits/assessments
Preferred Qualifications:
-
3+ years of supervising/managing direct reports strongly preferred

Creative problem solver, open to new ideas

Demonstrate servant leadership, maintain a positive attitude, is approachable and respectful of others.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing waste reduction methods such as: Kanban, jidoka, poka-yoke, heijunka, kaizen.

Six sigma blackbelt
-
ASQ certification (CSQP, CQE, CQM)
Salary: The compensation for this position is $110k - 155k. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, location, work experience, certifications, etc.
