Our client outside of the Pittsburgh area is looking for a full time Manufacturing Engineering Technician. Candidates will be working in a fast paced and attention detailed environment. Work is performed to oversee and facilitate production programs to ensure effective implementation.
Manufacturing Engineering Technician Responsibilities:
Support all areas of production to ensure the delivery of quality products to the customer on time.
Provides technical support to manufacturing engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides feedback to manufacturing engineers on ways to improve procedural steps and process implementation.
Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
Identify and implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production.
Support new product designs introduced to production.
Contributes to the workplace organization and 5S initiatives.
Installs components and sub-assemblies in accordance with provided drawings and/or work instructions.
Assembly, adjustment and calibration of manufacturing equipment; As well as ability to troubleshoot and repair of manufacturing equipment.
Read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
Ability to contribute new manufacturing concepts and processes.
Develop and present information and data pertaining to design issues and potential design updates.
Support and/or perform failure analysis and corrective action activities for any reported failures.
Create and manage bills of material (BOM) within the companies data management system.
Manufacturing Engineering Technician Qualifications:
B.S (or higher) degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Greater than 5 years of Electronic, Mechanical and Electro-mechanical assembly.
Experienced with electronic, hand powered, and pneumatic tools along with standard hand tools as required to complete assembly tasks.
Experienced with calibrated torque tools and crimpers to complete assembly tasks.
IPC J-STD-001 Class 3, IPC-A-610, WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
Must have strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision making-skills. Strong verbal and technical writing skills is also required.
Ability to work occasional overtime if necessary
Able to adhere to all safety requirements and standards including the use of PPE and also have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
