We are looking for engaging and experienced teachers to enhance the learning and development of the children in our facility. Our after school playcrew make learning fun and engaging while maintaining safety and providing nurturing care.
Your responsibilities will include the following, give or take some specific duties on a daily basis;
- Implement a classroom schedule (which will be provided) during after school care that adheres to all WAC requirements using provided curriculum and using emergent learning
- Able to transport children to and front school in the company 8 to 15 passenger van
- Observe and assess children to better understand and meet children’s developmental needs.
- Communication with families using our app about students day
- Collaborate and communicate with staff throughout the center in a respectful manner
- Ensure the classroom is up to our quality standard of care and guidelines provided by Early Achievers and the Washington State Administrative Code
- Drive 15 passenger Van to drop and pick up children from local elementary schools.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior experience as a Lead teacher in ECE
- An understanding of child development, executive functioning and strategies for learning.
- Patience, flexibility, and love for children
- Strong communication and time management skills
- At least 18 years of age
- Must obtain first aid, CPR, blood borne pathogens, food handlers permit, and TB Skin test
- Must hold a valid DCYF approved Portable Background Check
- Must have valid High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record for the past 36 months
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.10 per hour
