Ajilon Professional Staffing is currently interviewing individuals interested in administrative assistant positions located in Overland Park, KS. These contract positions will start at $35k and go up depending on experience.

As an Administrative Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Answer all incoming phone calls and transfer to appropriate associate
  • Greet guests and make them comfortable during any wait time
  • Produce documents using word processing and other computer programs
  • Maintain front office in an orderly manner
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and distribute to appropriate parties, including date-stamping letters of intent and narrative proposals and affixing postage to outgoing mail twice each day
  • Assist associates with maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings
  • Provide general filing assistance, including reports and correspondence
  • Assist with various administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing and logging reports received
  • Monitor and report registrations for sponsored events
  • Stock refrigerator – keep kitchen stocked, cleaned, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

You are the perfect candidate if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in general business, customer service, public administration, public health or other related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years clerical experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including writing, editing and coordinating the dissemination of materials for associates
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills and abilities with emphasis on handling multiple tasks and prioritizing
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to be tactful and to display professional maturity that fosters effective interface with associates and other external parties
  • Ability to anticipate what needs to be done and take the initiative to follow through
  • Strong sense of purpose and ability to stay focused
  • Good listening skills, willing and able to hear from anyone who has something to contribute to the operations and overall success
  • Ability to be discrete and to maintain appropriate confidentiality
  • Flexibility regarding tasks and work schedule
  • Professional attitude and appearance
