Owns voice and data communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols to perform complete network configurations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors protocol compatibility, performs system tuning and makes recommendations for improvement
Develops integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues
Assists in network planning and network architecture design and engineering
Performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications
Provides leadership in fostering teamwork and cooperation
Assists on special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required
Accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedure
Designs and deploys functional infrastructure/networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
Monitors network performance and integrity
Resolves issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automates tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentors team members on technical issues and addressing user needs
Creates, oversees and tests security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicates with users when needed
Maintains complete technical documentation
Suggests improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability Keeps request backlog organized. Works proactively with executive management to ensure activities with the highest financial and strategic return are pursued

Job Specifications
Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Related field or relevant work experience
5+ Years working in a Professional IT Organization
Technical Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Sharp troubleshooting skills
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
