Postdoctoral molecular cardiovascular research Fellowship

Work in a highly collaborative basic cardiovascular research laboratory at University of Maryland School of Medicine (Division of Cardiology). The current focus of the laboratory is the development of gene editing in vascular smooth muscle as a translatable approach for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. The post-doc will work with 3-4 other lab members doing experiments including AAV Crispr/Cas9 gene editing, conditional KO and other approaches to study and modulate vascular function in models of hypertension and heart failure. This project has a 25-yr history and is currently funded by NIH and VA through 2023. Experience with methods of cell and molecular biology is required.

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
