Human Resources Specialist
This position will aid in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources area. Recruiting employees, entering information of new employees and benefits into Quick Books and systems. Updating job ads, conducting interviews, background checks and new hire orientation. The candidate must be proficient and knowledgeable with Human Resources best practices and with all aspects of employee benefits administration and compliance.
Perform day to day Human Resources administration and maintenance of employee information and records i.e., benefits, medical files, I-9 E-Verify.
Daily update of employee records information and changes on QuickBooks.
Assist with recruitment, selecting, interviewing, orienting, and training employees.
Overall day to day administration and compliance of all employee benefits, worker’s compensation, uniforms, etc.
Assist employees with employment policies and benefits inquires in a timely and efficient manner.
Administer and monitor DOT records to assure compliance. i.e., medical cards
Reconcile and process monthly benefit invoices for payment. Timely submission of payroll – related cost to accounting and management for employees’ deductions.
Support management with employee reviews, counseling, corrections, and terminations.
Continuous education and research on changes on federal, state, and local requirements.
Perform special assignments and administrative duties.
Condition of Employment:
At least 2-years’ experience with all aspects of HR and Benefits polices and compliance
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office
At lease 1-year experience with QuickBooks applications.
Bilingual English and Spanish required.
Strong written and communication skills
