Position Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated System Administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible to manage a growing environment that includes supporting systems, LAN, WAN and Wireless Network systems. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of server configuration, backups, hardware and software testing and assist with Network administration and monitoring.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong Windows Server administration experience in an enterprise environment
Create and maintain full documentation of all systems, applications, security and network configurations. Maintain confidentiality regarding all information processed, stored, or accessed on the network.
Office 365 administration which includes, but is not limited to PowerShell commands, Active Directory to ensure on premise settings are successfully synched with Microsoft cloud platform.
Support a multi-site Microsoft Exchange 2008/2010 environment
Assist with managing Lutheran Child and Family Services SharePoint environment. This includes user administration (create, change, delete, access rights)
Working knowledge of the following: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, IIS,
Familiarity with firewalls, switches, and basic networking concepts and troubleshooting
Ensure network switches and firewalls are functioning properly by monitoring health and performing routine backups of switch configurations.
VOIP phone system management experience
Stays current on emerging technology and must be able to provide recommendations for future technology investments.
Interact with employees to understand the way they perform work, and seek creative ways to improve our workflows with technology.
Provide backup technical support to all departments in the organization with issues related to hardware, software and applications using the Help Desk ticketing system to keep track of issues and resolutions.

DESIRED EDUCATION

Relevant Bachelor’s Degree Required
PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (periodically move IT equipment)
Willing to work remotely
Willing to travel in State
EXPERIENCE

Five years IT experience in a fast-paced business environment with at least three years’ experience of System and Network Administration.
SPECIFIC SKILLS

Knowledge of the following are required – TCP/IP, switches, Firewall management, Windows Servers, Network monitoring tools, AD Administration, Group Policy, Office 365, CRM, SharePoint, Cloud computing, Great Plains.
