The Biomarker Operations Associate will support BeiGene Clinical assets by successful execution of sample operations activities in partnership with biomarker colleagues, clinical operations and other functions as appropriate across the organization; and will support the management of deliverables from external vendors supporting the BGNE clinical programs.
As a key member of the Biomarker Group, the successful candidate will be accountable to support the Biomarker strategy for BeiGene programs and help assure that activities are executed within the expected scope, budget and timelines. The successful candidate will play a key role the establishment of sample collection protocols and processes, development of lab manuals and processes and management for the long-term storage of biomarker samples. The successful candidate will be expected to train CRAs and Clinical operations in order to support biomarker and clinical trial objectives.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Manage and/or develop the following areas internally and/or through third-party collaborations:
Biomarker Sample logistics
Biomarker Sample tracking
Biomarker Sample storage
Biomarker Data transfers
Management of ICFs
CRA training and Site training
Knowledge of the relevant scientific concepts related to the clinical program.
Communication of biomarker updates to internal and external teams
Execute and report on goals and objectives.
Support budget planning and management.
Be accountable for compliant business practices.
Build strong relationships with internal experts
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge or the equivalent.
BS/MS degree within biological sciences or related fields required.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience within other biotech/pharmaceutical companies
Experience with the support of biomarker-related processes is expected.
Experience with vendor partnership preferred.
Experience working in global environment preferred.
Prior experience with vendor selection preferred.
