STEM Counselor
Responsibilities: Full-Time. Accountable for providing educational, career and personal counseling to college-level students. Counsel students regarding transfer, career development, goal clarification, employment preparation and readiness. Provide leadership in areas of student intervention strategies, working with the general student population and special programs. Orient on student development including, but not limited to, college orientation, academic success, freshman year experience, career and educational planning. Manage electronic student educational plans, course placements, access to student information systems and access the Internet for academic and career planning. Maintain current knowledge in the field of post-secondary counseling, Transfer and STEM fields
Qualifications: Master’s in Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Guidance Counseling, or Educational Counseling. Knowledge of trends in career counseling. Current CPL License to practice in Puerto Rico a must. Minimum three (3) years of experience providing personal, academic, and career counseling to a diverse student population preferably in a post-secondary setting. Organized, high people skills, presentation skills, and high written/verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Willing to travel locally among campuses.
