The part-time Telephonic Health and Wellness Nurse provides clinical engagement center support for the company’s client partners in an effort to ensure the needs of their patients are met. Nurses are responsible for providing accurate clinical telephonic call handling through multiple inbound and outbound programs. Additionally, this position works closely with management and other engagement center staff to ensure patient calls meet all quality requirements and measurements. Independent thinking and good judgment are necessary to respond to clients appropriately.
This part-time position works within the Envera engagement facility offering schedules Monday's and Tuesday's from 8:30am – 5:00pm, with additional hours possible based on business needs.
Provides callers with generalized clinical information, patient assessment and education, triage, as well as healthcare, physician, and community resources and referrals; provides additional support in other programs such as class registration, program registration, as needed.
Provides clinical programs orientation to new employees as needed.
Answers multi-line phone in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
Maintains timely communication with management and provides data and reporting as needed.
Ensures proper documentation of all calls within the appropriate database.
Communicates with department Supervisor, Operations Manager and/or Senior Leadership with complex, problematic cases and operational issues.
Promotes and fosters a cohesive working environment.
Works collaboratively with co-workers to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
Must possess a current Virginia nursing license (RN).
Experience in health triage or care management required.
Strong assessment and clinical skills required.
Minimum of 3 years acute care experience required.
Minimum of 5 years adult medical/surgical clinical experience, pediatric experience a plus.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills required.
Must be team oriented, positive, and innovative.
Must possess the ability to synthesize clinical information from a variety of sources.
Demonstrates self-directed leadership behavior and the ability to work with minimal direction.
Must be able to organize and maintain detailed records.
Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Computer literacy required.
