Primary Responsibility:
Administers Human Resources processes accurately and timely for a facility or department in accordance with standard guidelines ensuring confidentiality and compliance requirements are observed.

Bilingual in English & Spanish (read/write/speak).

Essential Functions:
Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information
Partner with Recruiting in filling job vacancies; notify eligible workers of position availability
Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions
Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants
Gather and file personnel records from other departments or employees
Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and job classifications
Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans
Processes changes in HR database system as required
On request, search employee files to obtain information
Gather initial information regarding employee issues and escalate to HR Manager in a timely manager
Facilitate new hire on-boarding
Process new hire paperwork, including I-9s
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required,
A minimum one (1) year related work experience
Experience with HRIS and APS systems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Good customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively with variety of individuals
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information

Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions
Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending
Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work
Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks
May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business
May require visits to facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing
May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds
Requires the use of various electronic tools
Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes
Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
