A LITTLE ABOUT THE ROLE:
Role - Account Manager / Bookkeeper:
- We are looking for someone who is friendly, communicative, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and hard-working. This person must possess the ability to multi-task. The right candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow with the firm.
- This role is not just about bookkeeping. You are expected to be the Account Manager for each client assigned to you which means you will be their main point of contact and expected to answer their questions, coach them through financial discussions, and support them in their life and business. It is important that you care about our clients and put time into understanding their businesses.
- We expect you will manage somewhere between 14-18 clients at a time. You will be responsible for each client's bookkeeping, reconciliations, sales tax, payroll, tax strategy, and client communications (communications are mainly done via email but occasional zoom meetings are required) (no A/P or A/R is involved)
- A minimum of 2 years experience bookkeeping, managing multiple client accounts, and using QuickBooks Online is required
- Since this is a remote position and all work is done virtually via computer access, an at-home work space is required. It is important that all applicants are tech savvy, have a high degree of computer literacy, and can stay motivated while working alone or with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.
- Basic knowledge of taxes is required as you will be expected to answer client questions such as "can I write this off?" (some tax training can be provided)
- This position requires a minimum of 20 hours/week and a maximum of 40 hours/week

- Since we deal with sensitive client information, background checks will be performed before you can be hired
- Training will begin at the end of October. Clients will be assigned at the beginning of November.

Should we notice the quality of your work being effected by our relaxed work schedule, we maintain the right to set dedicated work hours and hold you accountable to a structured schedule (please don't make us do this because we hate it as much as you do.
