The Opportunity

Great entry level position for a candidate looking to gain experience with sales administration, marketing, education and/or office management. Learn how to successfully convert an inquiry to a customer, gain experience with customer information management systems and learn how to keep an organization running smoothly through expert administration. Experienced team in place to support your training and development!

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as our "Director of First Impressions" by maintaining a positive, welcoming presence at our reception area and in all phone interactions
  • Field phone calls from current families, helping them to adjust schedules and resolve any billing questions
  • Become an expert on Sylvan products and services in order to successfully direct prospective families to appropriate tutoring services
  • Educate prospective families about Center educational services and pricing and develop and use sales skills to follow up with inquirers to book initial assessments and enrollment conferences
  • Support marketing outreach, developing expertise in use of Center email marketing system
  • Support test administration with students and oversee test proctoring for adult students
  • Keep office supplies in stock and organized and center public spaces organized and tidy
  • File and organize center documents and materials
  • Support accounting and billing

Qualifications:

  • College degree required
  • One year of office management and/or sales experience preferred
  • Must love kids and be a team player
  • Outgoing, detail oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently, as well as take direction

All candidates must be available to work M-Th 10:45 am to 7:45 pm plus Saturday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Health benefits available after 90-day introductory period. Commuter benefits offered. Local candidates only.
