Lines of Responsibility

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises: None


Monday – Friday, Full-time (some weekends and on-call duties as needed)

Essential Qualifications

Engineering Degree preferred in one of the following fields: Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical.

Ability to program PLC’s and HMI; Automation Direct (KOYO), Allen Bradley, C-More and Directsoft5, Knowledge of Modbus - RS 485 and TCP/IP communications experience helpful.

Experience with electrical equipment and troubleshooting: AC/DC Circuits; Motors, VFD’s; Multi Meter use; Honeywell UDC’s, Flow Meters, 24VDC and various VAC relays, Thermocouple, 4 to 20 amp signal

Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel, [Project, MP2, SCADA and Auto Cad]

Experience working in the following areas: mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or flow controls systems

Must be able to follow direction with minimal supervision

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to prioritize

Work well independently as well as team environment

Essential Functions

Evaluates the efficiency and safety of current manufacturing processes as well as developing new processes to improve manufacturing efficiencies

Designing processes and equipment related to the creation of products or services that are cost effective and in keeping with a given budget

Implementation of process designs, creating prototypes, testing, making necessary modifications where required and commissioning the process under a given set of parameters

Assessing safety requirements and ensuring that these are integrated into the process/projects

Documentation is essential and mandatory function creating history of the process/project and creating manuals (Repair and or Educational) with comprehension

Providing technical assistance for both facility and production projects.

Working closely with other professionals such as plant manager, supervisors, and other appropriate staff on development and research of projects, updating on a regular basis

Work with production and maintenance staff on new processes and equipment designs evaluates the feedback from appropriate staff

Review all blueprint prints with CEO and Supervisor before they are finalized

Direct, communicate with outside vendors and contractors relating to projects

Weekly reporting on progress of projects
