Job Summary:
The HR Manager will build on and apply expertise in various areas including organizational effectiveness, leadership coaching, performance management, employee engagement & relations, change management, lean manufacturing, organizational design & development, training and development and project management to contribute to the successful operation of Corinth Professional Products Mill Operations. Provides leadership and direction to continuously improve the High Performance Work Systems and culture to ensure a safe, self-managed, engaged workforce that delivers business results. Position assures consistent application and administration of K-C’s policies and procedures as they relate to the company’s values and its employees.

Scope:
Reports to the Associate HR Director, KCP Supply Chain, serves as a member of the Site Leadership Team, and partners with the Mill Manager and the Leadership team to drive organizational effectiveness programs and projects heavily focused on building individual capability to achieve business results. Incumbent interacts extensively with the Corinth Leadership Team and operations leadership teams, providing advice and counsel for change management, employee communications, HR policies, and employee relations for Corinth Professional Products Mill. Ensures that teams receive information, service, instruction, and development they need to continuously improve their total capability.

Dimensions:
Direct deputies include: Mill Training Coordinator; also serves as K-C contact for front desk contractor.
Plant Population: ~135 people
Work with key customers: the employees, Mill Manager, other Mill Team Leaders, operating teams, Corporate Human Resources Staff, and Functional Leaders of mill support teams.

Responsibilities:
Lead the development of the site people strategy to continuously improve engagement and enablement, and the overall health of the organization.
Provide consultation, coaching and guidance on effective change management related to mill initiatives.
Develop the strategy for the site training and development program.
Lead organizational effectiveness programs focused on improving individual capability to deliver business results.
Provide HR services to mill. Serve as advisor to the site leadership, providing policy and program development and administration in areas which include employment; safety and health administration; employee relations; EEO; training and development; compensation and benefits; and medical services to be provided in the context of our operation’s cultural environment, corporate policies and procedures, and applicable federal and state laws.
Develop, recommend, and implement plans to enable the mill to achieve its goals using high involvement organization principles.
Manage mill training programs which serve to improve technical problem solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
Provide consultation on the development and implementation of mill occupational safety and health, employee wellness, and employee assistance programs.
Facilitate and lead teams of employees chartered to improve the effectiveness of the organization.
Manage the mill’s talent acquisition processes to ensure the organization attracts, develops and retains the best people. Foster an environment which motivates a diverse team to fully use its capabilities in achieving desired business results. Develop and implement plans which ensure that the mill achieves its goals for affirmative action in employment.
Assist the Mill Manager in establishing and maintaining a positive corporate image in the local community.
Actively demonstrate Environmental, Health and Safety as a value through active leadership, positive influence of mindsets and by identifying and addressing risks to prevent loss to our people, processes and materials, while ensuring compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and plant guidelines.
Serve as Security Coordinator for CPPM site.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Business or related field.
Five or more years of work experience in an HR Leader or HR Generalist role.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources to include Employee Engagement, Change Management, Organizational Design, state and federal labor laws and current economic and labor relations developments.
Must have demonstrated capability in problem solving, conflict resolution and working within site culture. In depth knowledge of business strategy, and specific HR functional knowledge.

Experience delivering business results through improved organizational capability.
Previous experience as an HR Team Leader/Manager that has strong understanding of manufacturing functional areas and their interactions, and a working knowledge of continuous improvement /Lean manufacturing.

Knowledge of High Performance and Self-Managing Team Work Systems.
Experience delivering business results through improved organizational capability.
Critical skills include: motivation, initiative, thoroughness, decision making and planning skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work with SAP systems, Workday or other Human Resource Information System, and Microsoft Office applications.
