We are looking for either a responsible, experienced CNA/ Home Health Aide to provide care for a 97 year old patient who is recovering from orthopedic surgery. Before her injury, the patient was very independent, including living alone, driving, shopping, cooking, and managing all of her own affairs. She is fully cognitively intact. The goal is to help her return to her pre-injury level of function. Your responsibilities will be to support the patient first in the setting of a rehabilitation facility and later, in her own home, to help ensure her well being and safety, while promoting her independence. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
1) All transfers to and from bed
2) Assistance with grooming including skin care needs
3) Re-positioning patient on a timely basis
4) Reminders and Assistance to make sure the patient is in compliance with medication schedule
5) Light housework and meal preparation
6) Accompanying patient to medical and therapy appointments
7) Performing home exercises with patient as per the therapist's instructions
8) Assistance in using incentive spirometer
9) Assistance in re-positioning in bed
Qualifications:
1) Must be either certified Home Health Aid or CNA with at least 2 years experience
2) Recent Covid vaccination required
3) References Required
You will be asked to provide basic documents for background check
