Supervisor Behavioral Health Program
GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB: The Supervisor is responsible for providing support and training for clinicians within their department. Supervisor will enhance the psychotherapeutic experiences in accordance with the Sinai Health System Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, DMH Rule 132 /140 and CARF. Supports the mission and furthers the goals of Sinai Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in accordance with the Annual Plan. Provides administrative support, policy interpretation and goal-oriented leadership to staff and patients in a direct-service clinical department. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: · Reports to: Manager/Director · Provides Supervision to: Psychotherapists, Mental Health Workers and/or Rehabilitation Technician
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree in social work or psychology preferred
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Three years experience in a managerial role in a human service field. · Two years experience in the provision of clinical supervision to staff.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Must be culturally competent
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: · LCSW preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and talk or hear. · The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch. · The employee is occasionally required to stand. · The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
