Summary Responsible for managing and organizing the financial planning process. Coordinates annual budget, monthly forecasts and variance analysis and helps maintain the system of accounts. Assists with special projects, typically involving financial analysis and business case development to provide leadership with financial data to support their resource allocation decisions and objectives for corporate growth and profitability. Typically collaborates with teams of professionals in finance and across HQ functional departments.Core Responsibilities - Compares financial results to planned or forecasted results and recommends future actions. Analyzes the ongoing profitability performance against budget and plan objectives.- Prepares and reviews budget and forecast materials for leadership. Ensures consistency and accuracy of all materials.- Performs and analyzes economic evaluation justifications for special projects and multi-year strategic investments.- Develops, supervises and prioritizes the workflow for financial analysts and team members assigned to project teams.- Serves as a liaison to management, business operations, accounting and other teams by providing financial planning experience, financial information and modeling, and variance analysis.- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.Education Level - Bachelors Degree or EquivalentField of Study - Business, Finance, Accounting or related fieldYears Experience - Generally requires 6-9 years related experienceAdditional Experience- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex businesses, including financial and operational aspects.- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint; experience with Hyperion Essbase, Smartview, and OBIEE preferred.
