Job Location: Hershey, PA
The Director, Infrastructure Services, reports directly to the Senior Director of IT Operations and is responsible for Infrastructure Architecture, Infrastructure Delivery, and Continuous Development and Optimization needs of the Hershey Company.
Responsible for collaboratively creating an Infrastructure Services vision and roadmap. The goal is to ensure that the solutions and services delivered by IT Operations meet both business and technical objectives and are aligned with the long-term technology roadmap.
Oversee the architecture and delivery of the ongoing Data Center Migration Program, through the lifecycle of the Project Management Office and its associated stage gates & milestones.
Drive initiatives in Digital Manufacturing, addressing Enterprise risk in legacy manufacturing components as well as related cyber risk.
Lead an organization that consists of Network, Infrastructure and Cloud Architects, and infrastructure technical experts in the areas of networking & security, servers, storage, data centers and cloud infrastructure services.
Ensures that the personnel are allocated to Hershey business projects with the appropriate experience, technical skill level, and business priority. The Director will analyze the current technical experience levels of the organization and devise appropriate training regimes to ensure the organization is well prepared for current and future needs.
Collaborate with peers who lead Platform Services & Support, Client Services & Support, Integrations and SAP Solution Development, Quality Assurance and IT Service Management, all within IT Operations.
Partner with other Solution Management Leaders, Business Partners, Third Party Service and Product vendors to accomplish all the above goals.
Act as a thought leader within the IS community on topics central to Infrastructure as a Service, push for best practices and constantly challenge the team to deliver cost effective and innovative solutions that address the technology needs and are directly tied to business strategy.
Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, techniques and key performance indicators for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing systems analysis and infrastructure projects and programs.
Possess excellent leadership/management skills, have a proven track record on delivering results, and have exceptional team skills both in leading and participating
Technology Management – Responsible for Infrastructure Architecture ensuring the creation of implementation roadmaps, proofs of concept and overseeing technical aspects of project implementation for Infrastructure related projects.
People Leadership – Lead and manage team of Architects and Technical Experts in addition to Managers.
Service Vendor Management – Develop Service Vendor strategies and management models which create a rapid onboarding experience for contract resources while ensuring access to a pool of highly skilled resources that can partner with the global software solutions organization. Maintain relationships with Service providers to assess the evolution of skill sets and focus areas of our partners.
Customer relationship management - Serve as a point of contact for IS and Business Partners. Understand customer concerns, requirements and priorities to improve the level of satisfaction with the software solution delivery.
Financial Management/Planning - Contribute to development of annual budgets, capital plans and system development plans. Monitor performance against commitments. Track actuals against Plan.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering. Master’s degree or related experience is strongly preferred.
8+ years of IT experience including global networking, server and storage operations, administration and infrastructure services.
Superior knowledge and experience with networking, server and storage infrastructure and related deployments.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, experience with and demonstrated success using a DevOps model will be given strong consideration.
Five to seven years of experience in project management and execution involving major enterprise level infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal customers
Successfully developed and implemented infrastructure solutions in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies.
Established track record of managing technical staff through various life-cycle phases (cross functional experience highly desirable).
Demonstrated leadership of high performance work teams/groups
Managed financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects
Developed efficient and effective global solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
