The Engineering, Modifications, and Maintenance horizontal capability in Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking qualified candidates for Structural Analysis Engineer who will be accountable to the Defense Complex Spares Engineering Manager. In a lead role, assignment will support new source stand up and production of F/A-18 A-D Flight Control Surfaces.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct stress analyses of aircraft assemblies’ primary structure and work in a team environment collaborating with other engineering disciplines.
Lead the development of test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyses/reports to validate systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance, including support of in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

Experience with composites
Experience collaborating/working with structural design, liaison and manufacturing engineering, and with customers and suppliers
Previous F/A-18 experience
Strong leadership skills and experience leading structural analysis

Typical Education / Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
