Currently have opportunities for Certified Medication Aides (CMA's) at Vintage Park at Paola, Vintage Park at Louisburg and Vintage Park at Osawatomie.   • Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures
  • Assist new employees in following established policies and procedures
  • Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to supervisor and/or seek assistance from supervisor or manager if necessary
  • Provide direct resident care as assigned
  • Pass medications per physician orders and document all medication passes on the MAR per Grace policy and procedure.
  • Ability to assist residents with any number of physical, emotional needs as assigned and/or as necessary, especially those relating to ADL (Activities of Daily Living)
  • Conduct resident rounds daily
  • Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action
  • Participate in educational programs and in-services as provided
  • Comply and be held accountable for federal, state and local regulations
  • Participate in resident care conferences and other facility meetings as assigned
  • Document the care provided to resident(s) and their response in the log
  • Listen to resident and/or family concerns/complaints and report them to supervisor
  • Maintain emotional composure and stay calm in all situations
  • Respond to call lights in timely fashion
  • Carry out facility infection and control procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

  • Possess genuine loving and caring attitude for seniors
  • Be at least 18 years old in good physical and emotional health
  • High School or GED equivalent preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
  • Certified Medication Aide Required for the State of Kansas
  • Some experience working in an assisted living community
