Part Time Interior Design Consultant – Seasonal

We are hiring a creative part time Seasonal Interior Design Consultant for a pop up retail shop for an online retailer of home goods and furnishing. As an Design Consultant for our program, you’ll help make our customer’s style goals a reality by helping people find the perfect furniture, home furnishings, décor and goods all at the right price. We’re looking for creative, friendly designers to help customers connect the dots and create cohesive spaces to achieve looks they love. Our ideal candidate is excited to share home décor options with new and existing customers.
Things to consider:
Pop Up Shop located at Natick Mall
Up to 28 retail hours a week from Nov 1, 2018 - Jan. 4th, 2019
Mandatory pre-event training week of Oct. 22nd
Pop-up runs from Nov. 1 - Jan. 2
Availability to work Mall holiday hours including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, NYE, NYD
Competitive pay rates starting at $35/hr. - $40/hr.

As a Design Consultant You Are:
Professional, driven, passionate about interior design, and able to work across a range of styles
Creative and eager to bring client’s ideas to life through design
A strong communicator that clients can depend on for timely, proactive consultations
You are comfortable with new technologies and navigating online software
Up to date on relevant interior design industry news and trends
What You’ll Do:
Source products from our vast catalog and make recommendations based on quick consultations with consumers
Deliver delightful project experiences, including designing mood boards for consumers with our easy-to-use website tools
Help consumers gain confidence that they can shop our website by helping them understand more about their personal style
Direct consumers to the customer service representatives for product purchases
1-5 years’ experience in Interior Design
Previous Project consulting experience
Exceptional Customer Service skills
1-3 years Retail and/or Sales experience
Ability to troubleshoot and be solutions driven
Understanding of how the online retail experience works

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and maintain the strategic client relationship with top tier clients
- Organize and execute assigned projects according to client requirements
- Advise and provide guidance on processes and issues resolutions
- Work on special projects as assigned by senior leadership
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports
