Full Job Description
College of Engineering & Technology (CET) Students serve as senators and representatives for students within the college and their department and work with the CET Associate Dean for student Affairs.
Participate in USU SA, College Rep meetings, department meetings, and College/University events. Approximately 20 hours / semester.
Must be a current student at the College of Engineering & Technology at UVU. Senator must work collaboratively with the chairs to select departmental representatives.
Representatives must be in the Department you are representing and have spoken with the Chair to know expectations, department meeting schedule, and faculty you will be working with.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of UVU, CET, and your department major, programs, chair, and
GPA 2.5 or higher
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (including e-mails and texts).
Ability to talk with others about your department and UVU.
Ability to facilitate/attend meetings and events.
Enjoys learning and sharing.
Carry supplies (approximately 10 lbs). Set up and clean up projects at events.
