We are currently looking for a UI/UX Designer.
Under general direction, the User Experience Strategy & Digital Design Lead is responsible for creating best in class user experiences and helps provide strategic direction for all aspects of the digital user experience across the RV Sales Web Development and Camping World Native Application teams. This role will work across both development teams and collaborate with the product managers and multiple other lines of business to understand objectives, user goals, customer targets, technical platforms, and capabilities - translating into an overarching user experience strategy and framework to lead design efforts. This role will not only be responsible to produce design work, but also provide guidance to other digital product design and UX members of the team. This includes, but is not limited to, web developers, content management, product technology teams, etc.
You will largely work with the Native Application team to support several products, including some "start-up" like endeavors within the RV/Outdoor industry. In addition, you will support the Web Development team in overarching UX strategy to drive effective redesign efforts of several RV Sales web products. The Native Application team works in a scrum methodology and would require this position to be involved in all native app team scrum processes.
THE OPPORTUNITY AT CAMPING WORLD
Camping World's digital development efforts have greatly increased over the past several years - including the creation of a completely new native application team in the past year and doubling the size and resources of the web development team on the RV Sales side of the business. The User Experience Strategy & Digital Design Lead role will be the first UX specialized team member that will have the opportunity to expand into multiple areas of the Camping World business. With the pace in which Camping World is growing, your ability to influence the strategy and design of the overall digital efforts is immense.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work daily across two development teams and have exposure to the digital marketing team to create and drive a digital user experience strategy
Create effective designs incorporating customer-centric approaches across both web development and native application platforms
Work in hands-on development and deployment digital solutions and assets
Create user flow charts
Wireframe intuitive user interfaces
Iterate or design concepts to continually improve user interface
Introduces, evangelizes and educates the business about customer-centric approaches, and works to align those approaches with evolving business strategy
Provides input on digital product development approaches and processes such as Lean UX and Agile to help drive customer-centered digital solutions
Assist in the collaboration across departments to improve end-to-end experience users have with the company and its products
Establishes metrics and curates and analyzes research data about the customer from various departments to help better inform the business about the customer when making key digital design decisions.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, IT or relevant field or equivalent experience (Preferred 3+ years of experience)
Experience creating user-centric design for mobile and web platforms (preferred strong background in mobile design)
Strong knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design
Understanding of mobile technologies across different devices and operating systems
Proficient in Sketch design tool
Familiarity with XCode Interface Builder and Auto Layout
Familiarity with InVision and Abstract
Motion Graphics using After Effects or similar
Highly proficient in writing and verbal communication.
