The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Marketing and Communications Department
The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Marketing and Communications department is seeking a web developer with a background in Drupal site building, theming, and module development. Responsibilities will include maintaining a Drupal 8 web application and developing new sites for college-affiliated research laboratories. Will work with and report directly to the Marketing and Communications Director to translate the UI/UX designs into markup and stylesheets, implement new features, and ensure the college’s web presence aligns with stated marketing goals.
High school diploma/equivalent with two years of experience
Strong written and verbal communication
Project management experience preferred
Experience developing web applications with the LAMP stack
Proficient understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap
Experience with Twig templating language is a plus
Proficient in mobile-responsive web design and development
Strong knowledge of web standards, defensive development and cross-browser compatibility
Experience with PHP 5 and 7, and a familiarity with object-oriented programming
Must have experience with Drupal site building, including deep familiarity with installing and updating appropriate Drupal modules
Familiarity with module development and Drupal’s related APIs
Must write clean and well-commented code, and work well in a team environment
Anticipated Salary Range
$15-19/hr, depending on experience
This is an OPS/temporary Job.
