DescriptionThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP), in collaboration and consultation with physicians, staff RN's, and other health care professionals, provides holistic, compassionate care to both inpatients and outpatients, and their families. Scope of practice includes management and coordination of care for adult patients with cardiovascular conditions including, but not limited to, coronary artery disease, heart failure, rhythm disorders, valvular disease, and vascular disease.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited NP or PA program. NP program with CCI accredited RNFA course or CRNFA desired. Previous experience with surgical first assist responsibilities preferred.License RequirementGraduate of an accredited Surgical Assistant program, Registered Nursing program with CCI accredited RNFA course (CRNFA desired), or Physician Assistant program.
Additional InformationThe Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a health care professional registered to practice medicine with physician supervision. The PA or NP functions as a member of the health care management team to provide continuity of patient and/or inpatient care.
