JOB TITLE: Residential Care Aide - Full Time All Shifts, Weekends All Shifts
CREDENTIALLING REQUIREMENT: MUST BE CBRF Certified
FUNCTION WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION
Under the supervision of the Administer/Resident Care Manager, at Priority Place. Resident Care Aides preform health care tasks, personal hygiene services, housekeeping tasks, recreational engagment and other related support services essential to the care of residents at Priority Place. They must be committed to our purpose: They must interact with residents consistently throughout their shift and observe, record and report all changes to Resident Manager/Administrator.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES, REPSONSIBILTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist residents with care of mouth, skin, hair, and bathing, etc.
- Assist residents with transferring and amulation when required.
- Assisting with prescribed exercises which patients and health aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel
- Preparing meals and assisting patients with eating
- Household services essential to health care at CBRF
- Assisting patients to bathroom or in using bedpan
- Assisting patients with self-administration of medications
- Simple wound care (without medicated creams)
- Reporting changes in the patient’s condition and needs
- Completing appropriate records
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience and knowledge of Point Click Care Software - Preferred
- MUST BE CBRF Certified
- Valid driver's license and Insurance
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills desired
- Dependability, respectfulness, patience and compassion desired
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Direct service delivery will most often be within the CBRF. The employee must be aware at all times of the risk to personal safety in the residential facility environment.
