Provides operational support and assists in the training and supervision of staff in a large, high volume food service facility. Responsibilities include supervision of employees across all shifts in the assigned work area, set-up of dishroom equipment, sorts, washes, sanitizes, dries, and stacks pots, dishes, glassware and other utensils used in preparation and service of food and dining operations. Provides leadership over the dishroom and assigned employees. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Previous supervisory experience in food service. Knowledge of commercial dishwashing, safety and sanitation Ability to work around water for long periods of time and with commercial detergents.
Ability to obtain a ServSafe certification within 6 months or demonstrate the working knowledge of safe food handling procedures.
