Reports To: Construction Services Manager

Construction Service Supervisor Job Summary: Supervise, train, and assist electrical construction leads and technicians while responsible for all aspects of team’s field service work; including customer communication, sales, job estimating, proposals, scheduling, reports and billing.

Construction Service Supervisor Essential Job Responsibilities:

Assist Management with developing training, career paths and succession planning for all team members
Manage large teams of technicians
Develop work plans for execution of construction projects in accordance with established standards, scopes of work and customer requests
Direct electrical substation project installations
Responsible for timely customer deliverables including project reports and billing information
Actively involved in customer communication and business development activities
Analyze projects and identify areas to improve efficiencies and profitability while still meeting customer expectations
Plans and participates in safety meetings, training, and audits
Support management in the planning, scheduling, execution, and cost management of field projects as well as organizational goals and objectives

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Construction Service Supervisor:

Familiar NFPA and OSHA compliance standards, federal, state, and local safety laws and DOT rules and regulations
Extensive knowledge regarding the installation, configuration and wiring of all types of switchgear and equipment
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems as they arise
Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement
Must have excellent attention to detail
Ability to supervise large scale projects
Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines
Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement
Must have intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment:
Work in close, but safe, proximity to live electrical substations
Able to work flexible hours including overtime, nights, weekends, and some holidays
Able to work overnight, multi-day and out-of-town projects
Must be willing to rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies
Willing to relocate to within 60 miles of a Premier Power Maintenance office

Education and Work Experience for Construction Service Supervisor:

Bachelors or Associates Degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology preferred, or equivalent work/military experience required
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or project management experience required
Experience presenting project information and outcomes to customers and company leadership

Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, education verification, motor vehicle report, physical abilities test and an approved hair and urine drug screen
Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to obtain ‘For Hire’ endorsement (or state equivalent) , DOT commercial licensing preferred
Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs.
Must be willing to obtain a company paid TWIC card, OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, and CPR training
