VF Digital Lab is hiring our first Creative Director to lead the creative consumer vision for the VF Digital Lab to sell in consumer experiences to our brands. This role must have a digital first mindset and be able to bring to life compelling consumer experiences for today’s world across social platforms, voice, AR/VR, individualization, etc. As we recruit a new generation of consumers, we are looking for a strong leader with a clear creative vision, eye to the future, and strong collaboration skills to lead this initiative. This role will drive the consumer journey and conversation via emerging technologies such as IOT devices, voice, etc. This thought leader will create best practices for brands including how best to design for mobile, digital first content creation, storytelling, etc. This individual will need to partner closely with our brands and the digital lab team to create innovative new experiences for our consumers. This position will be temporarily based in Alameda, CA before moving to a new corporate headquarter based in Denver, CO.
Chief storyteller for Digital Lab pilots and programs to sell into VF brands.
Develop newsworthy creative concepts that are rooted in consumer insights and support key business initiatives.
Collaborate with brands, consumer insights, digital lab to find compelling and unique ways to communicate with our customers. Provide thought leadership to the brands by documenting best creative practices for voice, mobile, social, email, website, AR/VR etc.
Oversee the design of consumer experience for Digital Lab innovation projects.
Create community of designers across brands to share ideas, best practices, learnings, and vendors
Define and bring to life the idea of “innovation in creativity.”
Recommend creative strategies to our brands that maximizes revenue while delivering amazing consumer experience.
Create designs and storyboards to sell in innovation ideas to the brands.
Own and manage relationships with external creative agency partners as needed.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
12+ years of experience in Design or related field.
BA degree required, preferably in design or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and knowledge, skills and abilities.
Deep understanding of consumer experience in a wide-range of creative functions – voice, AR/VR, video, art & copy, design thinking, interactive/web design, project management.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work well with multiple individuals from a variety of different departments.
Strong leadership skills.
Travel required: 10%
