Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Scientist having expertise with building classification or regression models for the Oil and Gas industry. The Data Analyst is directly responsible for delivering high quality, accurate technical reports based on thorough analysis of quality inspection data. The Analyst will also work closely with the development team and database administrator to help grow our existing data structures and aid in data clean up. This will be a 6 month contract opportunity.

Roles & Responsibilities

Support development of analysis methods and tools, to improve productivity
Provide reports for internal staff and external clients
Ensure quality of report content
Troubleshooting and resolving data (quality) issues
Making enhancements to existing tables and views; adding columns, new calculations, changing data structures (in collaboration with the team's data/solution architects)
Creating new tables and views, as needed for business users by understanding the business process end-to-end (in collaboration with the team's data/solution architects)
Translate large scale complex business data(time series data, structured/unstructured) into identified patterns/trends or predictive models, deploy solutions to business units to generate measurable values for businesses.
Grasp the latest machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud distributed computing technologies to ensure the best technologies were implemented to meet businesses’ data challenges.

Requirements:
1+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry and with related terminology
1+ years of SQL experience, with capacity to learn and grow
Previous experience building classification or regression models
Microsoft SQL Server, Data warehousing, and analysis services experience
Basic exposure to data management concepts and practices
Familiar with popular machine learning and deep learning packages provided by Amazon AWS, Microsoft or Google (such as Azure, Sagemaker, GCP)
Working knowledge with data visualization technologies using popular software (such as Tableau, PowerBI)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Additional Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Science or Mathematics field from an accredited college or university
Proficient in other Microsoft Office products(word, powerpoint; outlook)
Understanding of the client's needs from an inspection report and the development of analysis techniques to meet those needs
