Overview
Trans-West Network Solutions, a Pacific Office Automation Company, is looking for a Telecom Project Manager (PM) to fill a key role in our organization. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to complete specific projects. Projects include (but are not limited to) turn-key installations of telephone and limited data systems, wireless systems, and premise cabling, utilizing PM tools and techniques to achieve the project deliverables.

This is an individual contributor position that reports to the Operations Manager. Full time with benefits. This position is based in Arizona and requires the ability to travel 10- 25% of the time, including some evenings and weekends. Projects are typically short term – less than 2 months from start to completion. Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record a must.

Skill/Knowledge requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Proficiency with Internet and Microsoft Office applications to include, but not limited to: Word and Excel
Must be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi task effectively
Must have effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management and team members to ensure customer satisfaction
Must be analytical and have proven problem solving abilities
Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time sensitive issues and mandated deadlines

Keys to success (as in any project management role) are:
Communicating major milestones and identifying risks to stakeholders, management and customer
Establishing objectives and implementing project management processes
Delivering completed jobs on time, within budget, meeting quality standards and customer expectations
Negotiation, contracting, and management of subcontractors and internal technicians
Identifying, accessing and managing scope creep

Bonus Skill Sets:
Project Management Certification (PMI, PMP)
1-5 years of previous PM experience
1-5 years of Telecommunications experience
Knowledge and/or experience with Mitel Office and Business Suite of products
