External Description:
The Global Tax Department of AB is in search of an International Tax Manager to join their U.S. Finance organization. The candidate will report to the SVP/Global Tax Director and will be involved in various aspects of the company’s tax planning and compliance activities as it relates to the U.S. inclusion of foreign operations. The position will partner with other members of the finance team including, General Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury and Legal, and foreign teams. In addition, key constituents will include, external tax and legal counsel. The candidate will play an integral role in assisting the team achieve strategic objectives, drive process improvements, support international tax teams with the goal of ensuring the firm’s global tax requirements are complied with accurately and timely.

Education and Experience
  • 5+ years progressive experience in a Multinational (MNC) Corporate Tax Department
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
  • Big Four experience desired
  • CPA required
  • MST a +
Qualifications & Skills
  • In-depth U.S. Tax technical knowledge of outbound international taxation
  • Knowledge of U.S. inclusion of foreign operations - tax accounting and tax return compliance implications
  • Understand fundamental global transfer pricing rules and methodology application
  • Prior experience working at a large international corporate firm(s) desired
  • Well-organized, self-started, ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Must possess a high degree of analytical ability to deal with complex technical issues
  • High degree of communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative by nature
  • Proficient MS Office, XBRL, tax research engines (CCH, BNA, etc.)
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Publicly Traded Partnerships (“PTP’s”)
  • Perform technical reviews of quarterly subpart F inclusions – GILTI / BEAT
  • Review of quarterly tax accrual packages from non-U.S. locations
  • Oversee the forecasting of pre-tax book income across legal entities
  • Review Forms 5471s, 8865s, etc. prepared by big-4 Firm
  • Monitor tax attributes calculations supporting international provisions (E&P, PTI, FX, FTCs, and so forth)
  • Liaise with third party firms in complying with OECD (i.e. BEPS) filing requirements
  • Work with advisors in monitoring and testing TP allocation methodologies and contemporaneous documentation
  • Act as the key point of contact and support for our international taxation matters (FATCA/CRS and so forth)
  • Manage external tax authorities, audits, and consultants on regional ITS matters
  • Provide international tax technical support on M&A activities
  • Support the Company’s governance processes which include providing Board Level Reporting
  • Manage, develop, and mentor less experience team members
  • Ability to identify value-added opportunities and work in a team environment
  • Must be able to communicate, written and verbal, complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals
  • Participate in or lead special projects
