We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer for our Research and Development team. This position will be located in Exton, PA.

This position requires:
Education and Experience

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of work experience in engineering design
Technical Skills

Experience designing with microprocessors and microcontrollers
Preferred experience with EDA tools such as ORCAD
Experience with high-speed (>1 GHz) electronics
Circuit modeling experience with tools such as PSPICE
Preferce for experience with FPGA development tools (Xilinx preferred)
Experience with hardware and software design tools for embedded systems
Familiarity with manufacturing practices
Experience with Linux in an embedded environment is a plus
Experience with Verilog and simulation and modeling tools Matlab or Simulink will be a big plus

How you will make a difference @ FARO:
Design and troubleshooting of high-speed (>1 GHz) digital and analog electronics
Design analog electronics circuit
Design digital electronic circuit
Identify product improvements and cost reductions for electronic products
Provide engineering support for purchasing team
Provide engineering support as required to manufacturing project engineering group.
Define the product flowdown requirements, and architecture
Perform design and conceptualization of products and systems
Perform hardware design and circuit analysis with simulation
Generate schematics, bill of material, and PCB layout guidelines.
Prototype testing: design verification and validation of hardware and software

Physical Requirements:
Some lightweight lifting and occasional lifting of average to heavy weight materials of over 60 lbs. Occasional pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing and upper body and arm rotation. Some bending, stooping and standing. Continuous sitting. Occasional use of hazardous chemicals.
