Location: Palomar Medical Center-Poway, California (about 20 minutes north of San Diego)
Shift: Per Diem, Nights, 12 hr shifts
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing OR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in progress with completion within 3 years of hire
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years nursing experience with previous House Supervisor experience or 5 years related clinical experience
Required License: Current CA RN License
Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
Job Duties: Works collaboratively with nursing leadership and staff, ancillary departments, and the medical staff to ensure that fiscal and human resources are appropriately assigned or reassigned to ensure that patients have access to care in a timely manner and appropriate setting. Decision-making, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are engaged to ensure that a district-wide perspective is maintained in the deployment/use of resources. Skilled in data collection, management, and analysis. In the absence of administration, direct and supervise all service functions and activities, interpret policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. Performs duties in any nursing capacity, where competent, on an as-needed basis.
