Job Description:
Coldstream Wealth Management is looking for an experienced Senior Wealth Management Associate to join our largest team on Mercer Island. If you are passionate about serving client families, this might be the right place for you to continue to grow under the guidance of our dedicated, seasoned wealth managers.
This position reports to a Wealth Manager, and responsibilities include:

Act as a primary point of contact for clients and outside advisors (CPAs/attorneys)

Participate in client meetings, manage agendas, record notes, prepare summary emails, and manage post-meeting action items

Utilize financial planning tools to analyze and assist in making recommendations regarding clients’ cash flow, long-term plan, and asset allocation decisions

Prepare analysis for families to provide context for financial decisions, such as buying or maintaining life/disability/LTC insurance, funding 529 plans, or refinancing debt

Present clients with ideas and concepts in an organized and effective manner (in conjunction with tax, investment, insurance, and/or estate planning professionals)

Manage and delegate workflow to the team’s client service associates; oversee the client onboarding process; review documentation prepared by the team’s client service associates

Coordinate client "touch points," including anniversaries, thank you notes, and gifts

Oversee annual tax reporting and completion of relevant tax documentation with CPAs

Experience and Skills:
We are looking for a candidate who has:

A Bachelor's degree
-
3-5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the wealth management industry
-
Series 65 license
-
Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP) designation - and/or CFP/working towards the CFP designation (or willingness to achieve the required licenses/designations within 12 months)

The ability and desire to be a self-starter, critical thinker, problem-solver, and goal-oriented team player

Excellent communication, relationship building, and organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to delegate and manage a busy workload

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce CRM, MoneyGuidePro, and/or Tamarac is a plus

In terms of salary expectations, we assess each candidate individually based on their experience and qualifications and offer competitive compensation that reflects the value they bring to the team. Base salary typically starts between $85k and $100k, plus an annual bonus and a generous benefits package, but it can be higher for candidates with additional experience and/or designations.
