Position Overview: DC-Tech USA Corporation is a start-up company based in Herndon, Virginia, and a subsidiary of an established parent company based in China. We provide complete internet application services including basic server security protection, server hosting and lease, intelligent DNS resolution, rack rental, large bandwidth access IDC and data services to customers primarily based in China.

We are looking for an experienced and organized technical support specialist/operational assistant to join our team. This position requires strong communications skills in Mandarin, although you will mainly be using chat programs and other operating systems.

This is a role that will be crucial to our clients and the ongoing success of our company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • provide fundamental customer service
  • maintenance of data protection measures, such as firewall configuration and black/white lists
  • keep track of server activities, such as data flow and bandwidth of network
  • assist clients with installation and reinstallation of operating systems and software
  • communicate efficiently and accurately with engineers about the issues reported by clients

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be bilingual in both English and Mandarin Chinese to communicate effectively

with customers and staff based in China.

  • Must have fast and accurate typing skills and be comfortable using computers. We will provide further job training related to the position.
  • Able to multi-task and to function effectively under pressure.
  • This position would best suit a gentle personality who works well with others but is equally able to work independently as required.
  • Should have a desire for constant self-improvement and to continuously learn new skills in a fast-changing sector of the communications industry

Office Environment Details:

  • The successful applicant will be based in a nice open plan office in a modern Class A building.
  • Our office tends to be quiet, as we are a start-up, but this may change soon as we grow.

Compensation Details:

This is a full-time position with a rotational shift work schedule, working between 32 and 40 per week. 32 hours per week is common, but at times, this may rise to 40 per week. In the unlikely event you are required to work above 40 hours per week, overtime payment will apply. Working days include weekends and holidays. Salary range is up to $36,000 per year. Benefits provided will include health and dental insurance at no cost for the employee and a pension plan with company matching contribution to 3% of salary. PTO and sick leave are provided following successful completion of three month probation period.
