World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for an Account Manager to support our Federal Department of Defense Agencies team located in the Washington DC Metro area. This position will be focused on selling hardware/software solutions and WWT Professional Services covering Defense Agencies.

  • In charge of a large diverse customer territory and the ability to find opportunities and apply an ever growing portfolio of WWT solutions
  • Selling our core networking, unified communication, virtualization, and storage technologies
  • Achieve sales goals by utilizing WWT's resources to include: engineers, labs, contract vehicles, inside sales teams, business development and marketing
  • Develop and maintain client and vendor (OEM) relationships
  • A chance to lead a team of internal WWT experts and external partners to develop and close strategic and tactical business
  • Grow an account base and the potential to make a difference with our warfighters
  • Strong skills developing new relationships with customers and understanding client issues and needs
  • Thorough knowledge of Government budgets and procurement cycles
  • Ability to manage complex sales situations and position WWT's offerings

  • Strong hunting skills for finding customer challenges and determining the fit and application of WWT solutions to these challenges.
  • Must be a self-starter and driven with a desire to exceed expectations
Hunter with ability to develop accounts utilizing WWT resources
  • Ability to multi-task but stay focused on closing key growth targets
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Prior experience with the Defense Agency territory is preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain a clearance (active clearance is desired)
  • Experience and selling information technology hardware and services to the Federal Government, specifically Defense Agencies
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
