Senior Marine Structural Engineer

Moffatt & Nichol is looking for a Sr. Marine Structural Engineer to join and help add to our capabilities in our Walnut Creek office.

This Senior position will work with other senior staff to:
Establish standards, design approach and manage the technical analysis of marine structures and foundations using cast-in-place/prestressed concrete, steel, and timber.
Monitor and report on project scope and budget
Actively participate in the training and development of junior staff
Provide quality reviews of drawings and calculations
Interact directly with clients
Contribute to the development of relationships with key regional clients
Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will:
Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in heavy construction in the marine environment.
Have a B.S. in Civil/Structural engineering
Be a licensed PE
Have expert knowledge of structural design codes and technical standards
Have experience in cost estimating
Be versed in principals of geotechnical design as it relates to design of marine structures
Have excellent technical writing skills
Be comfortable in a leadership position
