Overview
EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy efficiency solutions, has an immediate need for a Cost of Revenue Analyst to join our world-class Finance organization. The Cost of Revenue Analyst will serve as one of the resident Finance team experts on our demand response programs. As a Boston-based Cost of Revenue Analyst, your first mission will be to develop an understanding of EnerNOC's internal finance and accounting systems and various demand response programs. Revenue for our company is generated by utilities that pay us for reducing energy. Our COGS component comes from paying those commercial and industrial end users that utilize our systems to control and monitor their reduction of energy. We'll look to this individual to ensure both that our utility customers are paying us correctly and also that we're making accurate payments to those using our systems. Communication and cross departmental cohesion are vital in this position, and the Cost of Revenue Analyst will enjoy the ability to work with a variety of teams to discuss the inputs and outputs of his/her work. Key Responsibilities:
Driving the customer payments process, to ensure accurate and timely demand response payments

Supporting our Account Management, Customer Care, and Sales teams to deliver excellent customer service regarding demand response payments

Maintaining accurate records for our largest income statement and balance sheet accounts

Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process as it relates to demand response

Implementing processes to manage new demand response programs and monitor any contract exceptions

Collaborating with other departments to ensure that the inputs to revenue and customer payment calculations are accurate

Capturing best practices and lessons learned following each quarterly payment cycle to feed continuous improvements in process, tools, communication and training

Executing ad hoc analysis and projects as needed to inform management decision making

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree required

1-2 years in accounting, finance, or related field

Exemplary oral and written communication skills

Ability to manage a high volume of transactional activity calmly and effectively

A drive to provide excellent customer service

Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Focus on attention to detail

Self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment

Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience within and/or passion for the clean tech industry

Experience managing workflows through Salesforce.com and Netsuite, as well Microsoft Excel Skills
