Job Description
As an IBM FlashSystem FPGA engineer, you join a talented group of engineers responsible for designing and validating the next-generation Enterprise class all-flash storage arrays. We are looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about development and verification at both unit-level and top-level. In this role you will apply your technical knowledge to design challenging FPGA circuits that in addition to being functionally accurate, must be resource efficient and run at high clock frequencies.

Responsibilities:
The FPGA development team is responsible for all phases of FPGA design, from pin-placement and peripheral layout verification to in-system lab test of final product. Design schedules may be be aggressive and each designer is responsible for delivering their modules on schedule.

Develop and verify SystemVerilog or Verilog unit-level and top-level modules
Write and run testcases for RTL simulation
Debug functional errors in simulation and lab environment
Assist with top-level timing closure, resource optimization, and power optimization
May be asked to develop efficient circuits for complex mathematical functions

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
A minimum of 5 years of experience in FPGA or ASIC design
Knowledge of Xilinx FPGAs and Vivado
Proficient with Verilog or SystemVerilog
Proven software engineering skills including understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms

Recommended:
Knowledge of high speed serial transceivers
Proficient with Python

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
