We are searching for a Child Care Provider to join our Project Reward team:

Project Reward is a Substance Abuse treatment program for women. The program provides Intensive Outpatient treatment, and provides a continuum of treatment options for women in all phases of recovery.

The Child Care Provider position would provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment for pre-school aged children of women attending Project Reward. In addition, there may be some administrative work included in this position to assist in the functioning of the department. This position is approximately 15 hours/week. The hours will typically be between 8AM-2PM, Monday-Friday, but are subject to fluctuate.

Plan and offer structured developmental, educational, and recreational activities to children attending the program.
Oversee all other employees/students/volunteers helping children while in the childcare room.
Complete child intake within 48 hours of the child’s entering the child development program
Communicate effectively with all parents and provide emotional support and role modeling to women particularly regarding their relationship with their children.
Attend to basic childcare needs while parents are in treatment.
Receive ongoing training and education appropriate to field of practice.
Complete administrative functions as needed. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development is preferred
Must have awareness of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients served.
Experience and interest in working with pre-school aged children
Knowledge (preferably college classes) of Early Childhood Development
Minimum 2 years work experience
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
