Lead the day-to-day manufacturing processes for the site.

Ensure that processes are being run efficiently to optimize equipment and labor utilization.

Direct line manager with indirect manufacturing reports as well.

Work closely with the Technical Process Coordinator to ensure throughput optimization, high quality standards and on-time delivery

Oversee the safety program

Ensure that quality processes are being followed and introduce projects/processes to make improvements.

Create/maintain an environment of open interactive communication and best practices sharing.

Solicit ideas to improve efficiencies and make proposals to incorporate these changes.

Review processes where automation should be considered including cost/benefit analysis.

Support process audits (OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001)

Coach and mentor employees for professional development of the team

Work with partners in engineering, materials, quality and finance on operations projects.

Room for growth ideally, this role would be in line to move into the GM role. As well, the company has more than 15 facilities spread across the southeast and southwest which should create opportunities for growth.

Standard M-F working hours but some flexibility is required as the plant runs 24/7 (4 shift pastern, 12 hour 3.5 days on 3.5 days off)

Take over a well-managed and effective team position is open due to a promotion

Reports to the General Manager

Location: El Paso, TX (north side)


Bachelors degree Industrial Engineering or similar required

8+ years of experience in an operations role in a continuous process manufacturing environment

5+ years managing a manufacturing team

Proven ability to be effective in managing manufacturing operations

Must be able to provide examples of success in improving manufacturing efficiencies and optimizing capital utilization

Experience with continuous process manufacturing (ceramics or brick a plus)

Bilingual Spanish/English a plus but not required


Base salary $105k + bonus
