NLP Technical Lead will provide technical leadership and engineering support for a Task Order using advanced natural language processing techniques, deep learning and big data analytics.
NLP Technical Lead will lead inter-disciplinary teams, develop, and productionize Machine Learning/Deep Learning models
Define reference and solution architectures that support cloud initiatives, big data and data lake use cases, and traditional data platforms
Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and scalable physical data models that embrace Domain Driven Design best practices
As the NLP Technical Lead, you will have experience with and ability to formulate solutions using one or more of the following models: Deep Learning (CNNs, RCNNs, LSTMs), GANs, Autoencoders, Siamese Networks, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Support Vector Machines, Hidden Markov Models, Conditional Random Fields, Latent Dirichlet Allocation
Master's Degree and 8+ years of experience in a domain relevant to NLP or clinical environment or demonstrated equivalent track record
8+ years of hands-on distributed data processing experience using Hadoop, Spark
5+ years of experience managing enterprise data analytics teams
5+ years leveraging big data consumption tools such as Impala, Hive, Drill, or similar query engines
Hands-on experience with a broad range of current deep learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Spark, PyTorch, Keras, Nvidia Digits) and collaboration environments (e.g. Jupyter notebooks, PyCharm)
Experience in designing Machine Learning systems is highly preferred
Experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, and Modeling of Unstructured data
Applied experience in Natural Language Generation (NLG), Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Proven experience providing technical leadership
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management
Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals
Ability to contribute to the creation of an environment that motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team
Experience with NLP technologies in a clinical background
Expert level understanding of the UMLS
Experience designing methods for dealing with large document source variance
Expert level understanding of ontology and taxonomy curation
Prior publication is a plus
Java coding capabilities with experience in J2EE framework such as Core Java, Spring, EJB, JDBC, JMS, Struts
Demonstrated knowledge of Clinical Terminology, Vocabulary, and Standards of Health IT and an understanding of Health IT Standards (HL7 v2.x, HL7 v3, ASTM, X12N, HITSP component specifications, Clinical Document Architecture, Continuity of Care Record and the Health Story implementation guides)
Experience validating or adhering to Health Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP) Standards
Experience with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Standards (PIX, PDQ, XDS.b, XDR)
Demonstrated knowledge of/experience with Web Service Security (WS-Security, WS-Addressing, SAML, XACML)
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
