Primary Responsibilities

The Relationship Manager will have a portfolio of assigned fiscal sponsorship projects. Incumbent has the responsibility for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with each assigned fiscal sponsorship relationship. The Manager serves as the primary contact for assigned client relationships involving frequent interaction with clients and active coordination of strategies to ensure timeliness and efficiency of services across platforms, and overall client satisfaction. The responsibilities include:

Manage a portfolio of projects, supporting its project staff
Respond to Sponsored Projects’ operational needs and oversee enforcement of policies and procedures
Inform and monitor annual operating budget; monthly budget and activities; and financial reports for assigned Sponsored Projects, in partnership with the Finance Team
Manage relationship with staff and key stakeholders of assigned Sponsored Projects
Lead regularly scheduled operations check-in calls with the staff of assigned Sponsored Projects
Manage the preparation and execution of independent contractor and vendor agreements and/or contracts for assigned Sponsored Projects
Support grantmaking activities as needed, including grant agreements, facilitating grant payments and reporting
Coordinate and oversee the on-boarding of new Sponsored Projects, including collaborating with RPA internal partners to manage expectations for success
Review and process approved payment requests for assigned Sponsored Projects
Serve as liaison for Sponsored Projects’ inquiries, requests or issues related to support services (Finance and Operations)
As needed, review proposals, coordinate and attend site visits
Work cooperatively and support team members, as needed
Support senior leaders with outreach and cultivation activities as appropriate and assigned
Participate and support RPA-wide initiatives that further RPA’s mission
Desired Qualifications

Strong commitment to RPA’s values and mission
B.S./B.A. and advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred
At least 3 years work experience in the nonprofit sector
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong project management and operational skills
Strong financial management skills
Ability to multi-task and balance the workload of multiple projects and clients
Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills; good judgment and ability to function independently
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
Ability to handle a large and diverse client portfolio
Comfortable engaging with client and staff at all levels
Experience in, and strong concern for environmental issues including, conservation and preservation, protection, sustainability, etc. (Preferred)
Familiarity with nonprofit sector, including fiscal sponsorship and grantmaking organizations (Preferred)
Computer proficiency, particularly working knowledge of Office Suite; familiarity with Raisers Edge (Helpful)
Travel Requirement

Must be willing to travel for client work as needed
